Cable Protectors for Outdoor Events
An outdoor event can prevent accidents and injury with cable protectors to guard valuable wires and cables and the equipment that they are connected to. In addition to that, and possibly more importantly, these devices will protect the people and vehicles that will pass over those lines. Cable protectors come in many varieties, varying in size and the number of lines they can protect, whether they are drop over or stable with a bottom channel and a hinged lid system. In addition, ADA ramps can be attached for the ramp slope requirements, rubber pads can be applied for non-slip capacity on a very smooth service or VELCRO® pads to better adhere to carpet. Cable protector systems can be set up to include bridges, connectors, end caps and "Y" configurations.
Outdoor Festivals and Fairs
Popular locations where cable protectors might be used include street fairs and festivals that are set up on concrete, grass, asphalt or other street surfaces including a cobblestone setting. As vendors set up booths requiring electricity or other cable access, those wires will need protection as noted above. Especially in evening settings, vendors will require light and not every vendor will have access to a personal generator. At some events, rides or games will need electricity to run. While some places can be set up to have the majority of the wires not in public traffic areas, the lines must cross at some point to be hooked into the electricity source. Using cable protectors ensures that the liability of the event is not at risk.
Outdoor Concerts
An outdoor concert is another example of an event needing cable protectors. The back of the stage has potential to have many electrical wires supplying a source of electricity to instruments and sound equipment that may originate from the back of the stage. Some of the more sophisticated venues may have easier access to the source, but if not, the protectors are necessary. Often at larger concerts, the sound equipment, video and lighting controls are placed away from the stage in a space separate from the stage, making it necessary to run cable lines to this location in front of the stage. The potential for damage to an individual or the wires is high with traffic in the chairs between the stage and the support area.
Cable Protector Responsibility
The responsibility for the cable protectors will be with the organizer of the event, whether an employee or volunteer of the venue. If an attendee or an employee were to trip over a wire, or if the wire that is the property of an organization attending or performing at the event were to become damaged, the liability would lie with the organizer.

is it possible for an hdmi cable to have a usb end?
i want to see if i can hookup my ps3 to my laptop. my hadmi is an output, so i wont work with the ps3. is it possible for hadmi cables to have a usb end? i know with easy cap its av cables to a usb end, but i dont know if usb would work with it digitally and stuff like that
No, no, and no.
USB cannot handle the signal from HDMI. (you're taking a signal across 60 wires and trying to shove all that onto just 2 wires for the USB?)
Second, laptops do not have a video input. They are not designed for that. While you CAN get a video tuner or something similar for the laptop - and some of them do support HDMI - trying to play games in this fashion will be very annoying as these devices add about a second or two of lag to the signal. Your easy-cap device is such an example but as you'll notice, it's not just a simple cable - there's a chunk of electronics in there that's translating the signal into something for the USB port to handle, and then you're computer is running a special program to translate that signal back into something that displays on the screen.
