Gear Hobs can be understood as special type of gear cutters used primarily for the purpose of cutting and shaping gears. A wide variety of gear hobs is available in the market, with each one serving a different purpose. Some of the gear hobs include:

CTI manufactures a wide range of gear hobs for cutting Spur and Helical Gears. The worm gear hobs, from CTI, can be either hollow or integral shank type depending upon the strength constraints. CTI also offers a range of gear hobs including tangential, radial, topping or non-topping hobs. The gear hobs designed by CTI meet profile-modified specifications such as protuberance, chamfering, topping and tip relief. We also provide Pre Shaving Hobs, Roughing Gear Hobs, and Pre Grinding hobs, depending upon the individual requirements of the client.
A high production work usually requires a multiple-spline broach. They are usually very short and crafted as push broaches. Their main function is to remove burrs created by machining work done after forming the splines. CTI is well equipped to manufacture the standard or special spline broaches. They can be in push or pull styles. Spline broaches are individually modified to suit product specifications and the clients machine. CTI works to equip these spline broaches with round teeth, in order to remove burrs from inside the bore.
